RIP KERMIT LOVE

KERMIT LOVE died saturday at the age of 91. Love was the costume designer who helped Jim Henson create BIG BIRD. He also designed the SNUGGLES bear and helped design other classic puppets like MR. SNUFFLEUPAGUS, OSCAR THE GROUCH and COOKIE MONSTER! You might recognize him, too, as Sesame Street's hot dog vender WILLY! Wow, what wonderful gifts Love gave us! Thank you, Kermit!

"The most important thing about puppets is that they must project their imagination, and then the audience must open their eyes and imagine."
--Kermit Love, 1981
