DOUCHEBAG OF THE DAY: ANONYMOUS NEWSARAMA STAFFER

I haven't done a fun "Douchebag of the Day" in years, but sometimes my hand is forced. So first, a few days ago Newsarama posted the "10 Best Comic Book-Based Movie Performances of All" and omitted Christopher Reeve's Superman from the list. Blasphemy, to be sure.

Today they posted another listing, by the anonymous "Newsarama Staff" where they say Christopher Reeve's Superman was the 9th WORST comic-based movie performance of all.

TO WAR!!!!!!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* UPDATE: ok, so Newsarama writer Vaneta Rogers has chimed in with her own posting stating that Christopher Reeve's Superman is THE BEST. Thank you, Vaneta!

People are entitled to feel how they feel, but saying Reeve was one of the worst is just laughable.

But then that pick was probably made to cause a bit of a stir anyway.

For what it's worth, I think Reeve's Superman gets closer to the "essence" of the character he's portraying more than most any other performance in a comic movie.

Definitely - people are entitled to their opinion about this stuff. Please know my nerd anger on here is mostly tongue-in-cheek for laughs.... mostly. :P

Yeah, yeah everyones entitled to there opinion, even if there opinion sucks sh*t.
